What does a professional organiser do?

A professional organiser guides and helps you to organise any space in your home and implements custom, easy-to-use systems that help restore the calm and tranquillity in your life. We are your helping hand through the entire process of creating a more organised and beautiful home.

What are the benefits of hiring a professional home organiser?

Having organising systems that work for you and your family will create calm, tranquil and inviting spaces in your home. You will experience increased productivity and focus and be able to enjoy the things that bring you happiness. Each family member will know where every item belongs, and tidying up will become an easier and much less stressful activity.

What are your hours of operation?

Restored Home Organising operating hours are Monday to Friday, 10am – 5pm. Previously agreed upon and requested arrangements can be considered for in-person organising sessions on Saturdays from 9am – 1pm.

Why do I need a Space Assessment?

A space assessment provides all the necessary details regarding what the space currently looks and feels like to you and the vision of what you would like the space to look and feel like when it is functional, organised and restored. We will discuss your budget, availability for sessions and how the Restored process will be implemented to achieve the goals for the space. Before photos and videos will also be taken at the Space Assessment.

How Much Does a professional Organiser Cost?

The industry standard rate for professional organisers in the UK ranges from £30 per hour to £60 per hour. Restored Home Organising has a set rate between £25 and £30 per hour to remain competitive in the market. There are discounted rates for larger packages purchased.

How long will I need?

It is very difficult to determine how long you will need for your space/s to be beautiful and organised. This depends entirely on how much there is to organise, how big the space is and how long clients take to make decisions.

What process do you follow?

The Restored process follows three stages. The first stage, Relook, involves removing all items from the space and reviewing whether they belong in the area or not. The Rehome stage is next, and this is when we throw out any broken or expired items or move items to the room that they would be more suited in. The Restore stage involves organising the items and sorting them into containers with labels to create a gorgeous and peaceful space.

Will my sessions be confidential?

Yes, most definitely! Everything that we discuss is completely confidential. I am fully committed to the Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers UK Code of Ethics, which includes strict confidentiality.

Do I have to purchase storage containers and baskets?

You do not have to buy storage containers and baskets if you don’t want to. We will happily work with what you have. However, to get that Pinterest-worthy aesthetic – a cohesive style with similar baskets and containers is definitely a must! Product recommendations will be suggested to you, and shopping services can be provided at an additional cost.

Do I have to be at home when you’re there?

If very minimal decluttering is needed, you do not have to be present at the organising sessions. If a large amount of decluttering is needed, then it is best if you are there to make the final decisions on what is rehomed and what is being kept. If you are more comfortable being present at all the sessions, then that is perfectly fine. You are more than welcome to sit back, relax and spoil yourself with a pamper or a cup of tea while the organising sessions take place.

Do you remove rubbish and unwanted items?

At this stage, as I do not have a vehicle of my own, I do not offer removal of unwanted items.

What services are not included?

House cleaning, furniture assembly, moving of heavy furniture, climbing extension ladders or any other similar activities are not offered by Restored Home Organising. Sourcing other professionals more suited to these activities is recommended.
